VETERANS DAY LUNCH

Samoset's Veterans Day Lunch was a huge success. Thanks you to all the Veteran's for coming out and for your service. Thank you to Ms. Meigs for organizing such a great event. Thank you all that supported this lunch, to all to the student volunteers, to Ms. Blouin for all the decorations, and to Ms. Svare and the Samoset Band for performing. What a great day...

Samoset Middle School is pleased to introduce a new communications tool called Anonymous
Alerts ® .

What is the Anonymous Alerts app?
The Anonymous Alerts anti-bullying and safety app reporting system helps combat bullying and other
negative activity in schools by empowering students to speak up. Social and peer pressure are some of
the hardest obstacles for students to overcome.

The system allows for 1-way or 2-way anonymous encrypted communications between submitters
(students, parents or community members) and district administration and/or school staff. Users of the
system have the option to remain anonymous or reveal their identity when submitting a report.

To send reports from the Web/Internet go to: https://tips.anonymousalerts.com/samosetms

To send a report from your phone:
 Download the Anonymous Alerts® app for free from the Apple Store, Google Play store, or the
Chrome store
 Start the App, enter activation code: samosetms
 Send important reports to school officials
 Add a screenshot, photo or video about the incident

In an emergency, always call 9-1-1!

Washington DC trip- June 2024- Announcements

Hello Parents

For those that have not yet registered:  We have hit the point where students registering will be on the waitlist for the Washington D.C. trip this year.     We have had many students saying that they want to register, but have not yet done so.  If you are still interested in going, please register and pay the $99 deposit .   Skyview is also on a waitlist, and so we are hoping that we will be able to add a bus between the two schools and be able to have all students on the waitlist be able to go (although we cannot guarantee spots will open).  The registration deadline is approaching, and so it is important that you register if you want to go!  Payments made for those on the waitlist  will be refunded if we do not get enough students for another bus and those waitlisted are unable to go.    A $99 deposit is due upon registration.  We will have fundraisers that can help with the cost if you choose to participate! (payment due in full in April) .

For those already registered:  Please check and make sure that your credit card information is up to date and that payments are being processed.  Half of the balance of the trip (around $600) is due by 11/11/23, and the remaining balance will be due in April.   Please continue to check Google Classroom for updates.

If you are registered and have decided not to go, please withdraw as soon as possible to allow those on the waitlist a chance to go.

We will be doing a fudge and popcorn fundraiser beginning on November 2, 2023 and all order forms will be due by November 27, 2023.  Students earn 50% of sales toward their trip.  Students on the waitlist are able to participate in the fundraiser as well.   Fudge will be delivered to students before the December break so that they can deliver the items to those they sold to.

Scholarship applications for the Bill Macdonald Memorial DC fund are due this friday, October 27 with a teacher recommendation.
