Samoset Cell Phone Procedure (NEW)

This year, in collaboration with Leominster High School and Sky View Middle School, all student cell phones will be securely stored in a lock box during the school day. This new procedure is designed to minimize distractions, encourage face-to-face interactions, and help students stay focused on learning. Research shows that limiting cell phone use during school hours leads to stronger academic performance, improved social connections, and fewer disciplinary issues. We believe this change will create a calmer, more focused environment where students can thrive both academically and socially.

Please know that student safety is always our top priority—phones will still be accessible in the event of an emergency. We’re excited for the positive impact this new procedure will bring to our school community!

Alerts ® .
 
What is the Anonymous Alerts app?
The Anonymous Alerts anti-bullying and safety app reporting system helps combat bullying and other
negative activity in schools by empowering students to speak up. Social and peer pressure are some of
the hardest obstacles for students to overcome.
 
The system allows for 1-way or 2-way anonymous encrypted communications between submitters
(students, parents or community members) and district administration and/or school staff. Users of the
system have the option to remain anonymous or reveal their identity when submitting a report.

To send a report from your phone:
 Download the Anonymous Alerts® app for free from the Apple Store, Google Play store, or the
Chrome store
 Start the App, enter activation code: samosetms
 Send important reports to school officials
 Add a screenshot, photo or video about the incident
