NOTICE OF DESTRUCTION OF SPECIAL EDUCATION RECORDS

In compliance with Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education regulation 603 CMR 23.06 (3), The Leominster School District will destroy the Special Education records of any Leominster student who transferred, graduated, withdrew or terminated from Special Education programs or services on or before June 30, 2018 or has a birth year of 2000 or earlier. This is in accordance with the requirement to destroy such records after a period of seven years.
Any parent/guardian or eligible student can obtain their student record within 30 days of notice. To obtain records prior to their destruction, please contact the Special Education Department at 978-534-7700 X 1359 to arrange a time to pick up records.
All unclaimed student records meeting the above criteria will be destroyed after the September 15, 2025 deadline date.
